  6. Please note that Apple’s Text-to-Speech software is documented in the “Speech Manager” chapter of the Inside Macintosh: Sound volume of the Inside Macintosh series. A developer redistribution license for English Text-to-Speech and Mexican Spanish Text-to-Speech is now available.

  8. As of September 1995, Apple’s Speech Recognition software cannot yet be licensed for redistribution by developers.  But the information in this folder can help developers get started using it.
